Couldn’t of asked for a better guide to Rawanduz and surrounds. Being from the area he knew so many unknown spots for the best views! I also had a great lunch at his house with him and his wife. On top of that he’s a super nice and knowledge guide.

For all doubters! I have just returned from a trip through Iraqi Kurdistan. A beautiful country with a lot to offer. Beautiful nature, interesting culture and lovely people. It is safe here and I felt very welcome and comfortable. I stayed for a week and traveled with a guide/driver for 5 days. I found this through this platform. Ahmed was a friendly and professional host who offered a reasonable rate for his services and was easy to communicate with before and during the trip. He knows the best places in Iraqi Kurdistan, so he can create an itinerary for you or let you choose places you would like to visit. His truck is new and comfortable, and he spent the rides sharing his knowledge or playing excellent Kurdish music. Be sure to bring cash USD/EUR since currency exchanges offer a considerably better rate than ATMs.

Ahmed is a very decent tour guide, being a child of a village of rural Kurdistan himself, he knows exactly what he is supposed to show curious tourists. Doing a 2-days trip with him really made me love the natural resources of beautiful Iraqi Kurdistan! Excellent tour guide. Compiled a comprehensive two day tour. Reasonably priced when compared to other guides in the area. Ahmed also acted as translator when i was speaking with locals. As there was no language barrier, we were also able to navigate through the region with relative ease. Would recommend.

Amazing experience, Ahmad is a very good guide. Saw and experienced different parts of Iraqi Kurdistan with its nature, history, culture, food and hiking in a beautiful country. We visited lots of beautiful places throughout Kurdistan, including Duhok, Lalish, Rabban Hormizd Monastery, Amedi, Akre, Rawanduz, Korek, Barzan, Shanidar Cave and Dukan Lake. Some of these places would be very difficult to get to with public transport and it was great that Ahmad could explain the history and provide lots of interesting information. We also went to the best restaurants and cafes that would have otherwise been difficult to find. Also, he is a very careful driver and the transport was really comfortable.

Ahmad is a great guide, I spent one day with a russian guide called Viktoria and it was truly a bad experience, that is why I was very happy that I changed my guide and found Ahmad who was very communicative, knowledgeable and interested in sharing all his knowledge and experience. I can definitely recommend him!

Ahmad is a very kind thoughtful organised and knowledgeable tour guide from Rawanduz Kurdistan. I had a great week in Kurdistan thanks to him. The first 5 days he took me to Lalish Temple, Amedi , canyon, local villages, waterfalls, mountains, lakes , Sulaymaniyah, Halabja etc. Ahmad also took me visit his family having traditional yummy homemade food . For the last 2 days , he was busy with other tourists in Ebril. He arranged his friends to take me for horse riding, spending a day with shepherds to experience the village life.
